Art and Art History Department

Body

The Department of Art and Art History is an innovative laboratory program focused on the practice, history, and theory of art.

In our program, students will take courses in a variety of subject media, historical periods, and theoretical orientations. You’ll consider and create art within a social, cultural, religious, aesthetic, and technological context. Our devoted faculty will encourage you to embrace the liberal arts principles of critical thinking, self-discovery, and personal expression to deepen and broaden your engagement with your craft.
