Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS)

Body
The therapists at Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) can help you explore different ways to deal with life's transitions and assist you with more serious concerns—all in a confidential, culturally sensitive, supportive environment. Counseling can help you develop more fulfilling relationships, succeed academically, and feel a greater connection to the SMC community. Confidential services are available at no additional cost to Saint Mary’s graduate and full-time undergraduate students.

Wait times are currently long. Please consider using Timely Care for more timely care.

We are able to see students within 1-2 weeks for an initial appointment (same day if the student might need to be hospitalized for an urgent concern). After the initial appointment, students are currently waiting several weeks before ongoing (weekly or bi-weekly) sessions begin. Please consider using Timely Care (more info below) if you would like to start ongoing therapy more quickly.

CAPS will be closed 11/27 - 12/3 for Thanksgiving.
